What to Expect

    What to Bring

  • We encourage our guests to dress according to the weather and be prepared for cooler temperatures on the water. Be sure to pack rain gear. Even on windy days with no rain, it can be helpful with the boat spray. Please let the captain know prior to your trip if you do not have access to rain gear and he will do his best to provide some.

  • We highly recommend hats, sunglasses, and sunscreen lotion. Please DO NOT bring sunscreen spray, as it can lead to a slippery and dangerous deck.

  • If you plan to bring fish home, bring a large cooler to leave in your vehicle to transport your catch home. The captain will provide fillet bags and a cooler with ice on the boat.

  • Pack a lunch and any preferred drinks and snacks in a small cooler. We provide bottled water.

  • Bring a camera to capture memories.

  • Please inform your captain if you would like to bring your own fishing gear. Otherwise, you DO NOT need to bring any fishing gear, as we provide everything you will need.

    Meeting

  • Your captain will be in touch with you the day prior to your charter once he is off the water (early to late afternoon), to discuss meeting location. Based on his knowledge of where the best fishing is at that time, he will determine the launch site.

    Gratuities

  • Gratuities are appreciated and can be added to your payment at the end of your charter.

Policies

    License

  • Gorilla Tactics Sportfishing's charter boat license covers everyone on the vessel during your charter. You DO NOT need to purchase a fishing license.

    Safety

  • Children ages 12 and under are required by the USCG to wear a life jacket while on the vessel.

    Payment and Cancellation

  • We require a $150 deposit to book half-day charters and a $300 deposit for full-day charters. Deposits and payments in cash or Venmo (@Diogo-Godoi) are preferred, but you can write a check to Gorilla Tactics Sportfishing. Deposits are refundable up to 14 days prior to your charter.

  • Deposits are 100% refundable in the event of a weather cancellation. Cancellations due to weather are at the captain’s discretion and with your safety and experience in mind. We do our best to reschedule cancellations.

  • We fish rain or shine.

    Limits

  • Gorilla Tactics Sportfishing practices responsible harvesting and follow the State and Federal size and possession limits.

    Drugs and Alcohol

  • Hard alcohol and illegal drugs are prohibited. Beer and wine are welcome, but please no glass bottles. Please use your best judgement when consuming alcohol during a charter. The captain will terminate a trip if a passenger is deemed intoxicated and unsafe.
